How Does the PDC Home Tour Work?
All 128 Tour Card holders invited to the PDC Home Tour have been divided into 32 groups of 4 teams each.
Commencing on April 17th,🍎 each night players from a different group will take on their opponents in a round-robin format.
Matches will be best of nine legs and two points🥂 will be awarded for each win. If two players finish with tied points, the leg difference will be used as the deciding factor to determine who will finish on top.
Following the 32 consecutive days of matches – yes, 32 days in a row – the winners of each group will qualify for the second round of the PDC Home Tour (recently renamed the Low6 Home Tour). The Low6 Home Tour Play-Offs are set to begin on Tuesday 26th May whereby the 32 group winners will once again be ranked into a further 8 groups of 4 players each and take on each other in a round robin format.
The Low6 Home Tour Play-Offs will run consecutively for 11 days with all matches from the playoffs onward being best of 11 legs. The players who finish on top in Groups 1-4 will go on to play in the first semi final on Wednesday June 3rd while the winners of Groups 5-8 will qualify for the second semi final taking place on Thursday June 4th.
The two best places finishers in each semi final group will proceed to play in the Championship Group on Friday 5th June.
Players are required to set up a camera or smartphone to a dartboard in order to stream their action to the world, which means viewers will be able to tune in (and place some PDC Home Tour bets) live online.
In addition to showing footage of each dart player and their dartboard, viewers will also be able to see live score graphics whilst simultaneously enjoying match commentary from Dan Dawson.
